    Beltsander Motor Pulley

Hi, I would like to cast this pulley with the hub in it.

Not exactly sure if it will work because of the shape and style.

I don't do enough of this metal casting to really get the hang of it but maybe it should be a two part pattern.

I could start over from scratch if I need to, I built this one right on the motor shaft so I nice and round with out any vibration.

Any sugestions or Ideas would be great.

    Thanks,
    C

It looks to me to be a two-part pattern with the cylinder axis in the Z direction. Put the half with the web in the drag, cope down to the web and place the cope side pattern in to complete the molding. Put a deep well at the hub into the drag, lots of crap will wind up there. That's all I got that I feel confident about. Hope that helps. -Rod

Rod, that sounds good to me, I'll give that a try.
