    Photobucket Puts Screws to Everybody

8 hours ago Photobucket decided to screw everybody that has an account with their site by locking/blocking all photo links which were posted in websites, blogs or any other web sites which wasn't there's.

Cost of their 500 Plus Plan which allows 3rd party linking is $399 yearly.

    What a bunch of scumbags!!!

Eh, not surprised, there are better options these days anyway. But yeah, sucks to be anybody who had a lot of stuff hosted with them.

Looks like it is still working normally.....as normal as it can for them anyways. Has it actually gone into effect?

A bunch of photos in one of OCDs threads are showing up saying "you need to change your account to enable third party hosting" probably being turned on in a phased manor.

Oh have no doubt, they're coming to get you too David. lol

Hell, I'm having a heck of a time trying to recoup all my album off their site as we speak.

Now I get to have the pleasure of re-uploading everything to a new hosting site and fixing my furnace thread. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I thought they might be up to something. Hasn't worked for crap for months, I haven't been able to download more than a couple pictures at a time. Won't open half the time. I've blamed it on my lousy internet service. Might try putting on a new picture and share it. We have gotten to the point where we except when things don't work. Phones, internet, cable or satellite service. The smilies haven't worked right on here for years.

OCD, I managed to copy my pictures off there a while back, it is a pain but can be done. I have about a thousand on there.

New picture I just got to load.

Im thinking that photobucket has shot themselves in their head with this one. Time will tell but I expect to see a major boycott of their site in the days to come.
