That dolphin casting is very nice! Looks great polished.
Thank you Robert
I need to make more small flasks now that I've got these little patterns.
The job's never done.

Did some casting today and one of the items was the little canon. It's main purpose is to cover a hole in the deck of the boat. Then I figured, why not make it a water canon too. So, I need a hole through it. I could try to drill and hope to intersect them but that's just the normal way.
How about a core? A curved core. This is what I came up with.
A Satanite, colloidal silica, sodium silicate mix and soaked a piece of paracord in it.
Valentines day is approaching and I got a day of casting in last week to make a tidbit for the wife.
Powder coated the reverse side matte black for a shadow effect and the rest is powder except the polished &.
Very nice. That should keep the wife happy. I'll never make V-day with my little jewelry box. Looks like it's dog house city for me... :-(

Today's casting session. Four anchors, four dolphins, and three crucibles of wheelium ingots.
That rim was powder coated, flames shooting out the vent, used my respirator, and had about two fist fulls of dross.
That pretty well used up the day.

Well, I was able to trade an item for a few bits in the bit bucket, then traded those bits for some Petro Bond.
It came in today and wow, that stuff is fine, fine, fine.
Now rain is moving in, so no chance to see how it works.
