    Online Education

I was searching for online engineering classes and ran across this some of you may be interested in. MIT has a whole slew of free online classes in many topics.
In this one they build a lathe :
I wonder how it compares to the Gingery lathe?

There are also lots of courses at on math, chemistry, engineering and other advanced topics. They are free but offer paid 'certificates' whatever that means.

Does anyone know of any online engineering classes for accredited degree credit? I have checked out the universities in my state and a few offer online bachelors and masters degrees, but was wondering if there are any national ones at reasonable prices.

Frostoak, The courses are free, to receive credit "certificates" showing you've completed the course which means it requires payment. Future learn also has free online courses but offer paid certificates. Stanford Online offers free online courses taught by Stanford faculty to lifelong learners worldwide, and a variety of professional education opportunities in conjunction with many of the University’s schools and departments. I've contemplated trying I don't think it's accredited. That raises concern. I will continue to look for more as I feel programs like MIT's opencourseware should be becoming more available in the future as enrollment in higher education has been on the decline.
