Yeah ha the raven. Also, imperial eagles don't eat fish, so I suppose the swoop pose is out for that alone.

Good on the less TV. Too many ads anyway. Youtube has thousands of documentaries which I watch while doing wax or cleaning my workshop. I just redid mine and got another 15 feet or so of space. I'm very happy with it now. Everything has a place now. I just need some wall storage for my hand tools and I'll be set.

Thanks, go for it TRYPHON! Lets see what you make.

Here is a quick video of the bird as of now. I added to the wings and chest making them more beefy where the muscle should be. I'll just keep adding to it until the body shape looks ok and then I'll start the laborious effort of adding all the feathers and details. The feather pattern will be different from the typical bald eagle. Imperial eagles have much more interesting/elaborate feather patterns.

What do you think about the angle of the head? Does it look ok as is? Should I lower it like I mentioned in my previous post or keep it as is?

The position of the head (upright) is ok for me but IMHO the head is too much in the axis of the body. If it turned a bit its head to one side it would look more like it lives (like it just saw something who caught its attention). Just my 2cts

Same thing the girlfriend said. I'll tilt it more tomorrow and see how it looks.

New head position. Moved it more forwards and more tilted to the side (the photo on the right). What do you think? A smidge better? I also slimmed down the neck. I need to do a lot of detail work now but the body and proportions are basically correct.

Good to hear I'll keep the head in the position it is in.

I'm not really going from 1 particular picture, I'm looking at several different pictures of birds and several different species of eagle to get the basic shape down. There are about 20 different photos I'm looking at for guidance. When I do the feathers I'll look only at the imperial eagles to make sure I get their feather pattern down correctly.

My new gaming laptop is down until the tech repair guy comes this week.
I'm trying to troubleshoot my old gaming laptop which doesn't want to connect to the internet now for some reason. I remember why I shelved it now. Really need to play a few games. It has been almost 2 weeks now without. Ugh.
