Hi Mike, Its a bummer! Alloyavenue doesn't automatically email when these messages come in, like their old system did. Thanks for the offer of dropping in and for the parting powder. We moved from Mt Isa to here, thinking that being closer to Brisbane would make the trips there more regular. It hasn't. Its probably more an "age" thing now. But it would be good sometime, to chew the fat with someone else into this stuff.

The sand that I'm using is beach sand and it works well....I would be keeping the old said and just keep adding new mixed said to it, that's what I do......If ever your coming down this way give me a call and I'll see what I'm doing and we may be able to have a coffee and a chat, bearing in mind I'm a messy bugger( wife goes nuts lol) so don't expect a neat and tidy work shop
If at any time you need more parting powder don't be afraid to ask, where I work we go through a few tonnes per day and the production manager has never said no to me wanting a few kg's
